How to set an icon on a menu item

← Back

In the section window, click the dotted “Icon” label — a palette of 18 groups opens; clicking a symbol puts it in the field. Save the section.

  1. Open the section or informer window.
  2. Click the “Icon” label above the narrow field — it is underlined with dots. The “Choose an icon” palette will open.
  3. The row of symbols at the top jumps to a group: “Interface and navigation”, “Money and finance”, “Food and drinks”, “Smileys” and others.
  4. Click a symbol — it will be placed in the field. “No icon” clears the field.
  5. Click “Save”.

You can also type the icon into the field by hand — any emoji or symbol.

Colored or single-color. Emojis stay colored. The “Simple symbols (text colors)” group — ★ ✓ ✉ ☎ ₽ and the like — takes the menu item's text color: handy when icons should match the menu in color.

The “Chat” and “Multichat” informers have no icon of their own — only from this field. With no icon and no label, such an informer is visible only as a red dot when there are unread messages.

If it didn't work

  • The visitor sees a square instead of the icon. Newer emojis, such as 🪙, aren't rendered by older phones. The palette hides what your device can't display, but not what the visitor's device can't. 💰 or simple symbols are more reliable.
  • After saving there is a “?” instead of the icon. On some installations colored emojis are not saved. Use a symbol from the “Simple symbols” group — they are saved everywhere.
  • The palette closed by itself. It closes when the page is scrolled. Scroll inside the palette.
