How to build a form
← BackCreate a section with the forms module and click “Add field” — fields are laid out by dragging across columns.
- Create a section and enter
formsin the “Module” field. - Open this section on the site. An administrator will see the builder toolbar.
- Click “Add field”, fill in “Field name *” and select the “Field type”.
- Save. The field will appear on the form — then you can drag it to the desired column and position.
Headings and explanations are also fields: the “Heading” and “Text (paragraph)” types. They divide the form into meaningful parts.
The “Download form” and “Upload form” buttons transfer the entire form: with fields, order, and settings. Handy when the same questionnaire needs to be replicated on another site.
If it didn't work
- No toolbar. Only an administrator sees the builder — check that you're logged in.
- It says the section couldn't be determined. The form is tied to a section: open it at its own address, not via a direct link to the file.
- The field won't drag. You need to drag by the field's handle, not by the label.
