Where form submissions go
← BackTo e-mail: the address is written in the Send{…} button rule; without an address — to the site administrators. The form’s orders table can store submissions on the site.
- Open the form as an administrator and click the pencil next to the “Action button” field.
- In the “Button action” field, enter the address in curly braces of the “Send” rule:
Отправить{manager@mysite.ru}; Скрыть форму; Сообщение{Thank you!}. Multiple addresses go separated by commas inside the braces. - Save the field and send a test submission after leaving administrator mode.
Empty braces — Отправить{} — mean the message goes to all site administrators at the e-mails of their accounts. This is how a new button is set up by default. The recipient’s address doesn’t end up in the page code: spam bots can’t harvest it.
What’s in the message. The subject is “Заявка с сайта your domain”, followed by a “field — value” table, with “Источник заявки” as the first row: the page where the form was placed. If the form has the visitor’s e-mail or phone, the message includes “Ответить клиенту” and “Позвонить” buttons.
To keep submissions on the site, not just in e-mail: in the form section’s window, open “Module settings” and click “Create/synchronize form data table”. A hidden table section appears, and the link to it is right there under the button. From then on, every submission is saved to the table with a number and date. If you added fields to the form, click the button again: new columns appear, and old data remains. Without the table, a submission exists only in the e-mail: if the e-mail is lost, there is nowhere to restore it from.
If it didn’t work
- “Некому отправить заявку”. The braces don’t contain an e-mail, and the site administrators have no e-mail filled in. Enter an address in the braces.
- The visitor sees “Неверный номер телефона”. The “Phone (Russia)” field accepts a Russian number in any format — with +7, with 8, or 10 digits — and puts it in the message as +7 (999) 123-45-67. Letters and foreign codes won’t pass.
- I click the button — nothing happens. In administrator mode the button is an object to edit and sends nothing. Switch to “User” mode with the icon in the top right corner or open the form in another browser.
