How to let users add objects to a section themselves

← Back

The "Adding objects" tab in the "General settings" section: click "Configure" next to the section and mark groups or individual users.

  1. If you need to give rights to many people at once, first create groups and assign people to them (the "Users" tab).
  2. Open "General settings" → the "Adding objects" tab.
  3. Find the section (the "Find section" field) and click "Configure".
  4. On the left, mark "Groups"; on the right, in the "E-mail or user ID" field, add individual people. Click "Save".

The selected users will be able to add objects to this section and edit their own objects on the page /admin-prod. A group's right also applies to all its subgroups. The object appears on the site immediately, without moderation.

The user does not have access to section properties, other people's objects, cloning, import and drag-and-drop on the storefront. The title and description they enter are stripped of code. Administrators add objects everywhere; this does not apply to them.

There is no menu item for the user: they reach the adding form through the "Add object" card in the section itself or via the direct link /admin-prod.

If it didn't work

  • The user sees "Access denied". They have no rights to any section, or the section they had rights to has been deleted.
  • You revoked the right — the objects remained. This is by design: the objects stay on the site, but now only an administrator can edit them.
  • The section is not visible to the user at all. The right to add objects does not open the section itself — check its "Access level".
