How to split users into groups and open a section to only one group

← Back

Groups are created on the "Users" tab in the "General settings" section, and in the section's window, with the access "Registered users only", you mark the groups that can see it.

  1. Open "General settings" → the "Users" tab.
  2. In the "User groups" card, click "Create a user group", enter a name and click "Create". The "+" button next to a group creates a subgroup.
  3. In the "User list" block, click "Assign to group" next to the person you need, mark the groups and click "Save". The button appears when the site has at least one group.
  4. Open the section in the site structure and set "Access level" to "Registered users only". Below it, the "Access for user groups" block will appear: mark the groups and save the section.

The section is available to a marked group together with all its subgroups — including those created later. If no checkbox is marked, the section is visible to all registered users. Outsiders do not see it in the menu, and a direct link opens a "page not found" message. The administrator sees everything.

In the assignment window, the checkbox of a group with subgroups marks all nested groups and is cleared from the group itself; clicking again clears the marks.

Also in the list: "Make admin" / "Remove admin" grants or revokes site administrator rights, and the coin icon next to the balance leads to the user's finances.

If it didn't work

  • There is no "Access for user groups" block. It appears only with the access level "Registered users only" and only if the site has groups.
  • You deleted a group — the subgroups disappeared. Deleting a group also removes everything nested in it. The users themselves remain; only their assignment is removed.
