How to add favorites and a news subscription
← BackFavorites — a page with the "Favorites" module, a heart in the header, and buttons on cards. Subscription — a form with the "Subscribe" rule and a list of subscribers.
Favorites
- Create a section, for example
/izbrannoe, and in the "Module" field set "Favorites" via "Select". The cards on it are rendered by the section's "Object preview template". - Add the "Favorites" informer to the header and specify the "Favorites page address" in its settings. It shows a heart and the number of marked products.
- The heart on a tile is a button with the attribute
data-fav-toggle="<:ID:>"in the preview template. On the object page, use an "Action button" with the actionAdd to favorites.
For a guest, favorites are stored in the session; for a logged-in user, in the account. On login, the guest list is transferred to the account.
Subscription
- Build the subscription form: an E-mail field, a consent checkbox if needed, and an "Action button" with an action such as
Subscribe; Hide form; Message{Thank you!}. - Create a section with the "Subscribers" module and hide it from the menu: it contains the list of addresses and a CSV export.
- To have the subscription banner on all pages, add the "Subscription" informer and specify the "Subscription form address". The same place has the heading, subheading, image, and placement.
The "Subscribe" rule works in any form: you can add it to a request button too, so the client also gets onto the list. The module collects addresses and unsubscribe links, while the mailings themselves are sent separately — export the list to CSV.
If it didn't work
- "Subscription is not set up on this site". The site has no subscribers module — create the section from step 2.
- "Enter a valid e-mail". The form has no E-mail field, or it was filled in incorrectly.
- The heart didn't appear on the tiles. The button must be inserted into the preview template manually — it isn't added automatically.
