How to make a "Catalog" button with a dropdown menu
← BackThe "Catalog" informer builds a large menu from its own subsections: the first level is tabs, the second is columns, the third is links.
- Add a menu item and in the "Module" field click "Select" → "Catalog" informer.
- Use the "Add subsection" button to create first-level subsections for it — these are the tabs on the left, for example "Men", "Women".
- Inside the tabs, add second-level subsections: the column headings ("Footwear", "Clothing").
- Inside the columns, add the third level: the links themselves ("Sneakers").
- In the "Module settings" window, set the "Button text" and, if desired, a "Link below the tabs" with its text — for example "All products".
A tab without subsections works as a regular link. The order of tabs, columns, and links follows the order of items in the site structure; rearrange them by dragging.
By default the menu opens on click. With the checkbox "Open on hover (on desktop)" it opens when the mouse hovers over it.
It is convenient to use filtered storefronts and tag addresses like /tags/nike as catalog links — then the menu leads straight to filtered products.
If it didn't work
- The menu is empty. The subsections were created next to the catalog item rather than inside it. Drag them inside.
- The item is not visible to visitors. Check the "Access level" of the subsections themselves.
