How to add a second language
← BackEnable the language on the "Site languages" tab in general settings — a switcher will appear, and URLs will get a prefix like /en/.
- Open "General settings" and go to the "Site languages" tab.
- Enable the desired language. The base language stays on regular URLs (
/about), others get a prefix:/en/about. - Start the translation. It runs in batches and shows two progress bars: one for the engine interface, one for your texts — section names, page content, SEO fields.
The visitor's language is determined automatically: by country, then by browser settings. The switcher selection is remembered for a year. Search engine robots are excluded from this — they always get exactly the URL they requested, otherwise the Russian version wouldn't get indexed.
If it didn't work
- Some text remained Russian. Run the translation again: it runs in batches and may have been interrupted. Lines you edited manually are not overwritten by the machine.
- Your translation edit was overwritten. That doesn't happen: manual edits are protected, machine translation doesn't override them. But your edit does replace machine translation.
- Product names in calculations aren't translated. Some service names are keys the engine works with; they remain as is and aren't displayed on the storefront.
