How to show a map with an address on your site

Create a section with the map module and paste a link to the place from Yandex Maps or Google Maps into "Module settings" — the map will appear on the page.

  1. Find the place you need in Yandex Maps or Google Maps.
  2. Copy the address from the browser bar, the link from "Share", or the embed code (iframe) — any option will do.
  3. In "Site structure", create a section with the map module and save it.
  4. Open the section → "Module settings" → paste the link into "Map link or embed code".
  5. If you wish, set "Map height, px" (450 by default) and check ""Open in maps" link under the map". Save.

The map is displayed as a separate page or as a section on another page, for example on the contacts page. Short links like maps.app.goo.gl and yandex.ru/maps/-/… also work: on the first display, the site expands them into the full address itself. On a phone, the map is never taller than 70% of the screen.

To show several points at once, build a map in the Yandex Map Constructor and paste its code. The code from the map site is not output as is: the site takes only the map itself from it.

If it didn't work

  • There is no map, and the administrator sees a hint. The link was not recognized — copy it again from "Share" or use the embed code. Visitors see nothing in this case.
  • A Google route is not shown. Google does not allow embedding route links (/maps/dir/). Paste a link to the place itself.
  • You need a 2GIS map. Only Yandex Maps and Google Maps are supported for now.
