How to fix a heading and text right on the page

← Back

Click the page heading or text — an editing panel will appear above it; "Save" or Ctrl+Enter saves the changes.

  1. Open the page on the site while logged in as administrator.
  2. Click the page heading or its text. A frame will appear around it, and above it a panel: bold, italic, underline, H1–H3, lists, link, alignment, the "Visual" / "HTML" switch.
  3. Correct the text.
  4. Click "Save" on the panel or press Ctrl+Enter. The page will reload with the new text.

To cancel, use the "Cancel" button or Esc. If there are already edits, Esc and a click outside will not silently discard them: a question "Unsaved changes" will appear with the choices "Save", "Don't save" or "Continue editing".

This panel has no text color or "Remove link" button. They are in the large editor: section window → "Edit section text", the buttons "Text color" (palette, "Custom color", "No color") and "Remove link".

The name, description and property values on an object page are edited the same way.

If it didn't work

  • Clicking the text does nothing. Check whether "User" mode is on — the orange button in the top right corner of the header. On module pages that have no section of their own in the structure, the heading cannot be edited in place.
  • "Save error". The text and editing mode remain — copy the text, refresh the page and try again.
  • The editor closes as soon as it opens. Click the text itself, not a link inside it: clicking a link opens it.
