How to create a site

1. Open the site creation page and in the “Site address” field enter the name — only the part that comes before .vtorge.com. You can also paste the whole thing: https://MySite.vtorge.com/ will turn into mysite automatically.
2. Validation happens on the fly: a taken or forbidden address is highlighted right away, and the “Create” button appears only for an available one.
3. Fill in the “Project name” and “Short description”. The name is shown in the header and in the browser tab title, and the description goes into description for search engines. Both can be changed later in the admin panel.
4. “Base language” is the language in which you will fill the site with content: the site is later translated from it into other languages.
5. “Site template”: “Empty site” — only the starter sections, or a ready-made template with sections and design. For a site created from a template, the template’s language remains the base language.
6. Click “Create”. If you are not logged in, enter the administrator’s e-mail and click “Create site” — a temporary password and a login link will be sent to that address.
7. At the “Site created!” step, click “Open site”. If you created the site while logged in to your account, the button lets you in right away as an administrator.

The address consists of 3–63 characters: Latin letters, digits and a hyphen. A hyphen cannot be first or last. Some names are reserved by the engine — for example www.

An empty site is set up on the first visit to the new address — this is normal, just open the site. A site from a template arrives already populated.

When logged in through the form, you will see the “My sites” list: with the “Log in as admin” button you can get back into any of them as an administrator.

If it didn’t work

• The e-mail didn’t arrive. Check your Spam folder. If the e-mail was not sent, the site is not created at all: creation and the e-mail are a single operation, so “the site exists but there is no password” cannot happen.
• The builder asks you to log in or register. On this builder, sites are created only from an account: log in and return to the page.
• Creation won’t let you repeat right away. A one-minute pause is enforced between consecutive creations.
