How user balance and top-ups work

← Back

A user tops up their balance on the «Finances» page using the same payment methods as for orders; an administrator can credit or debit manually.

  1. Enable payment methods on the «Приём платежей» tab — top-ups accept the same methods, except the commercial proposal.
  2. The user opens the /finance page, enters the amount in the «Сумма пополнения (₽)» field in the «Пополнение баланса» block and clicks «Оплатить» — the order page opens with a choice of payment method.
  3. The balance button in the menu is provided by a menu item with the informer_finance module. Its «Настройки модуля» window has «Скрывать при положительном балансе» and «Скрывать при нулевом балансе».
  4. Manually: «Общие настройки» (/look-admin) → «Финансы» → «Начисление / списание средств». Specify the «Пользователя», the «Сумму» (positive — credit, negative — debit), a «Комментарий» and click «Добавить транзакцию».

After an online payment, the amount is credited automatically, exactly once. For payment by invoice, set the order to "Paid" — the funds will be credited at that moment. If a paid top-up is canceled or refunded, the amount is debited back.

The user sees unpaid top-ups on /finance in the "Awaiting payment:" line. The balance is always in rubles, even in a language with a different currency. A negative balance is highlighted in red in the menu and is not hidden.

If it didn't work

  • "Online payment on the site is not connected yet". There is no enabled payment method for the language of this page.
  • The balance button is not visible. It is not shown to guests; also check the hide checkboxes in the menu item settings.
