How to make a cart page and checkout
← BackA section with the forms module, the "Products in cart" field, customer fields, and a button with the "Pay" rule — submitting the form becomes an order.
- Create a section, enter
formsin "Module", and set the address — for examplekorzina. In the same window, check "Do not cache". - Open the section on the site, click "Add field", and choose the type "Products in cart". This is a list of items with quantity, amount, and "Total".
- Add customer fields: name, "Phone (Russia)", "E-mail", comment.
- Add a field of type "Action button" and in "Button action" enter the rules separated by semicolons, for example
Send{}; Pay— an order email and the customer's redirect to the payment page. - Enter the address of this page in the cart informer settings.
A form with the "Products in cart" field always creates an order: it assigns a number, saves the contents and total, after which the cart is cleared. The order number is appended to the text from the Message{…} rule. This form's order table appears automatically at the first order.
If you don't accept payment on the site, put Save and Message{Thank you, we will contact you} instead of Pay. An order without a cart is also possible: the "Set of services with prices" field in any form — the server calculates the total from it.
If it didn't work
- "The cart is empty". The form was submitted without products — first put a product into the cart.
- "Nothing to pay: the order has no products with a price". All items have a price of 0 — check the object prices.
- The customer didn't receive an email. The email is sent only by the
Send{…}rule — to the specified address. The customer sees their order via the link on the payment page and in the "My orders" section.
