How to display prices in another currency

← Back

Prices are entered in rubles, and in each site language they are shown in its currency at the Central Bank rate — set up in «Site languages» → «Currency and rates».

  1. Enable a second site language — currency is tied to the language.
  2. Open «General settings» (/look-admin) → «Site languages» → the «Currency and rates» card.
  3. For each language, select a «Currency».
  4. If desired, fill in the «Markup on the Central Bank rate, %» and «Rounding of the price in currency» fields.
  5. In the «Rates» table you can enter a «Custom rate, ₽ per 1» — it will replace the Central Bank rate. The «In effect» column shows the rate used to calculate prices.
  6. Click «Save».

The currency is chosen by the page language, not by the visitor's country. The primary language is always in rubles. The Central Bank of Russia rate updates automatically several times a day; the «Update CBR rates» button does it immediately. With a 3% markup, the price in currency comes out 3% higher; a custom rate is applied as is, without markup. The price in currency is rounded up.

The following are recalculated: object prices, the cart, product cards, the form price list, a calculator with a ruble unit, and tariffs. Balance, top-ups and the admin panel remain in rubles.

T-Bank, PSB, SBP and invoice charge rubles — in a non-primary language the customer sees this amount nearby. PatDy charges dollars: with another currency, the amount to pay in dollars at the exchange rate is shown.

If it didn't work

  • «no rate — rubles will be shown». Click «Update CBR rates» or enter your own rate.
  • The new price is not visible right away. Pages are served from cache and will update when its lifetime expires.
  • There is no currency selection. Only the primary language is enabled on the site.
