How to create a promo code

The "Промо-коды" tab: set the amount, number of codes, activation limit and expiration — the code credits money to the balance or serves as an invitation.

  1. Open «Общие настройки» (/look-admin) → the «Промо-коды» tab.
  2. In the «Генерация промо-кодов» block, fill in the «Префикс» (Latin letters and digits), «Сумма (руб)» and «Количество кодов» fields.
  3. «Активаций одного кода»: 1 — single-use, 0 — unlimited.
  4. «Действует до» — an inclusive date; empty — no expiration.
  5. Click «Сгенерировать». The codes will appear in the «Список промо-кодов».

The user enters the code during registration or on the /finance page in the "Promo code activation" block. The amount is credited to the balance. One user can activate each code only once.

A code for 0 rubles credits nothing and works as an invitation. Combined with the «Закрытая регистрация только по промо-коду» mode in the "Настройки модуля" window of the registration section, only those you have given a code to will be able to join the site.

The limit and expiration of an existing code are changed in the «Настройки промо-кода» window. A past date disables the code without deleting the activation history. The table shows how many times the code has been activated and by whom.

If it didn't work

  • "The promo code has expired". Extend the date in the code settings.
  • "The promo code activation limit has been reached". Increase "Активаций одного кода".
  • "You have already activated this promo code". The code is not counted again for the same user.
